Oh, Eric fucking Kripke. I'm trying to think of the best links that encapsulate everything that's wrong with his ideas about fandom; but essentially, the last couple episodes have demonstrated his contempt for fans in general and for female fans in particular. I'll definitely check out Convergence Culture at some point. This is going to sound weird, but if Jenkins were a woman, I'd put more stock in what he says (though I don't think he's wrong, per se, by any means). In the meantime, I enjoy reading Transformative Works and Cultures quite a lot.
